The deceased have been identified as Sohel Rana, his wife Auliya Khatun (25), and their daughter Sumaiya (7), residents of Charpara village in Chatmohar Upazila.
According to reports, Sohel Rana was returning to Chatmohar from a relative’s house in Shahjadpur, Sirajganj, on a motorcycle with his wife and daughter. Upon reaching the Chakchakiya area of Demra, a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with their motorcycle, crushing all three. Auliya Khatun and Sumaiya died on the spot, while Sohel Rana, critically injured, succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Faridpur Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hasnat Zaman confirmed that police were dispatched to the accident site upon receiving the news. The bodies will be handed over to the family after completing legal formalities.
