The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for September—whether it will increase or decrease—will be revealed today, Tuesday. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) will announce the new prices for LPG and autogas for the month at 3:00 PM today.
On Monday, BERC issued a notification stating that the price adjustment for LPG used in the private sector at the consumer level will be made based on the Saudi Aramco Contract Price (CP) for September. Previously, on August 3, BERC reduced the price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder by BDT 91, setting it at BDT 1,273.
On the same day, the new price for autogas will also be announced. On August 3, the price of autogas was reduced by BDT 4.18 per liter, fixed at BDT 58.28 per liter (including VAT).
Consumers are eagerly awaiting the new price announcement. Depending on Saudi Aramco’s CP, the price of LPG may either increase or decrease, significantly impacting the domestic market.
