Content Creator Tauhid Afridi Allegedly Escapes Munia Murder Case with Backing from Former PM’s Office

Content creator and Awami League supporter Tauhid Afridi has reportedly escaped accountability in the Munia murder case, with allegations pointing to interference from the then-Prime Minister’s Office. In a conversation with content creator Tahmid Samin, Afridi himself claimed, “Tauhid Afridi got away with the Munia case because of the PM’s Office.”

A recent video report published by the online portal Bangla Edition revealed a series of misdeeds by YouTuber and blogger Tauhid Afridi. Social media is now abuzz with discussions about Afridi’s alleged cruelty toward women. Testimony from a helpless woman has brought to light shocking evidence of Afridi’s horrific actions and his involvement in the Munia murder. Despite being directly linked to the 2021 Munia murder case, Afridi’s name did not surface in investigations, nor was he listed among suspects or interrogated. Leaked phone call records between Afridi and Munia have revealed details of their close relationship.

According to the Bangla Edition report, Afridi’s name was removed from the Munia murder case due to the influence of Ahmad Kaikaus, the then-Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It is alleged that Kaikaus used the authority of the PM’s Office to protect Afridi. Not only did he shield Afridi, but Kaikaus is also accused of orchestrating a sinister conspiracy. He was part of a syndicate that included former Detective Branch chief Harun-or-Rashid, former Law Minister Anisul Huq, and former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal. This syndicate allegedly worked to save Afridi from the murder case while framing a prominent industrialist for blackmail and financial gain.

In Bangladesh’s history, the Munia murder case saw unprecedented speed, with the case filed and a court order issued within 14 hours. An industrialist was named as a suspect even before the investigation began, surprising legal experts. Kaikaus and his syndicate reportedly sought to capitalize on this death for significant financial gain.

Under Kaikaus’s command, Afridi played a controversial role during the July Movement, creating and disseminating multiple pieces of content against the protesters. The primary goal was to legitimize the killings associated with Hasina’s government. These activities were reportedly funded and guided by Kaikaus.

Legal experts believe that Kaikaus, a US passport holder accused of laundering billions of taka, should be brought to justice alongside Afridi. Doing so could unravel the true mystery behind Munia’s murder and expose the hidden crimes of this blackmail syndicate.
