On Thursday (September 4), Fayez Ahmad Tayyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, shared the news through his official Facebook account.
According to Fayez Ahmad Tayyeb, the Citizen Service initiative is currently running pilot and learning programs that offer over 400 government services, including passport services, driving licenses, birth and death registrations, and NID-related support. These services are being integrated from various government offices, upazila parishads, and district councils.
In his post, Tayyeb stated that by the end of this month, 10 Citizen Service pilots will be launched simultaneously in six locations: Gulshan-1, Uttara Sector 6, Nilkhet, Ramna, Mohammadpur, and Banasree. Among these, the service centers in Gulshan-1, Uttara, and Nilkhet are already fully operational.
He further explained that the initiative aims to create a National API Connectivity Hub, which will integrate all government services into a single platform. This will eliminate the need for citizens to visit different websites or offices to apply for services, ensuring a more streamlined and hassle-free experience.
Tayyeb added that the platform will also interconnect and make interoperable existing digital services, such as online services provided by various ministries and digital centers. Ultimately, this initiative marks the launch of Bangladesh’s first Citizen Service Connectivity Hub, designed to provide all essential services in one place for the convenience of citizens.
