The Bangladesh Army conducted a raid on a training camp of the Bom Party, also known as the Kuki-Chin National Army (KNA), in the remote Rang Tlang area of Ruma Upazila, Bandarban, recovering various arms and equipment. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate shared this information in a press release on Wednesday, September 3.
According to the ISPR, during a month-long special military operation from July 25 to August 26, 2025, army patrol teams identified a KNA training camp in an uninhabited border area. Through extensive search operations, the army recovered wooden rifles used for training, sniper weapon components, military belts, cartridge belts, tactical pouches, uniforms, boots, blankets, walkie-talkie chargers, solar panels, rations, and other logistical equipment. Additionally, the army seized control of the group’s training ground, firing range, trenches, and several strategic installations.
The press release further stated that the Bangladesh Army is committed to ensuring the safety of lives and property of all ethnic groups in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Military operations against armed groups will continue with full resolve in the future.
