Woman Motorcyclist Killed in Bus Collision in Dhaka’s Kaola Area

 A woman riding a motorcycle was killed after being struck by a bus in the Kaola area of Dhaka. The incident occurred around 8:00 AM on Wednesday (August 6) under the Kaola Elevated Expressway.

The identity of the deceased woman, estimated to be around 30 years old and wearing a purple burqa, could not be immediately confirmed.

According to pedestrian Rafiqul Islam, the woman was traveling on a hired motorcycle in the Kaola area when a bus suddenly hit her from behind, causing her to be thrown onto the road and sustain severe injuries.

The motorcycle driver, who sustained minor injuries, fled the scene. The injured woman was initially taken to Kurmitola General Hospital and later transferred to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College (DMC) Hospital around 10:30 AM, where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Inspector Md. Faruk, in-charge of the DMC Police Camp, said the body has been kept in the hospital morgue, and the relevant police station has been informed. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased woman.
