The missing boys have been identified as Habibul Abshar (17), son of Nur Hossain from Baghghona Para, Monkhali, and Sayem (18), son of Nazir Hossain.
Sayem’s uncle, M.A. Aziz, said that Sayem went fishing with his friends for leisure on Friday morning but drowned in the sea. His whereabouts remain unknown, and the police have been informed.
Another uncle, Mujibur Rahman, added that six teenagers went fishing together. Suddenly, strong waves swept two of them into the water. Despite rescue efforts by locals, the missing boys have not yet been found.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing as the community anxiously awaits news.
