On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Khilgaon Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Daud Hossain confirmed the recovery. He stated that, based on information provided by the building’s owner, police retrieved the firearm from a wood storage room on the eastern side of the rooftop of a six-story building at 25/3 Meradia Madhyapara on Monday night, August 18. The shotgun was seized and taken into custody in accordance with legal procedures.
OC Daud Hossain added that a General Diary (GD) entry has been recorded at the police station regarding the recovery, and the matter is currently under investigation.
