Delivery Boy Robbed at Knifepoint in Mohammadpur, Dhaka

 In Mohammadpur, Dhaka, a delivery boy was robbed of Tk 41,000 at knifepoint by three young men wielding local sharp weapons and a machete. The victim, Nazim Uddin, filed a written complaint with Mohammadpur Police Station regarding the incident.

The robbery occurred around 4:00 PM on Thursday (August 7, 2025) in front of House No. 14, Block D, Dhaka Udyan 5th Road in Mohammadpur. Nazim Uddin works as a delivery boy for Pathao Courier Service.

According to Nazim, he had completed a delivery near a mosque on Ekta Housing’s 5th Road and was heading toward the main road via Dhaka Udyan’s 5th Road, Block D. Near House No. 14, three youths blocked his bicycle, brandishing a machete. They snatched Tk 41,000 and a mobile phone from him. When Nazim pleaded for his phone, the robbers threw it back to him from a distance before fleeing in a rickshaw toward Ekta Housing, still carrying the machete. Following instructions from his office, Nazim lodged a complaint with Mohammadpur Police Station.

CCTV footage from the area shows a young man in a white Punjabi riding a bicycle around 4:10 PM on Dhaka Udyan’s 5th Road, Block D. Three youths intercepted him, threatened him with a machete, took the money, and escaped in a rickshaw.

Mohammadpur Police Station’s Sub-Inspector (SI) and investigating officer Abdul Momin confirmed receiving the complaint. “We have started an investigation and are collecting CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the culprits,” he said.
