On Sunday (August 3) afternoon, the arrested individuals were sent to jail through the court. The police stated that these individuals are involved in various criminal activities.
The arrested persons are: Dulal (45), Joni (26), Mostafa (42), Farhad (25), Monir Hossain (28), Namin (20), Shahin (21), Sumon (28), Bijoy (27), Sani (30), Billal (20), Roni (32), Hridoy (25), Ful Mia (36), Sohel (28), and Osman (18).
Khandakar Fuad Ruhani, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhairab Police Station, said that the operation was carried out throughout the night due to an increase in incidents of theft, robbery, and drug addiction in the city. During the operation, 16 criminals were apprehended. Some of them have robbery cases filed against them at the police station. One of the arrested is a convict with a five-year sentence, and new cases have been filed against several others.
