His body has been sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Mohammadpur Police Station's Inspector (Investigation) Hafizur Rahman confirmed the incident, stating that Fazle Rabbi was an employee at a hardware store.
According to his sister, Tania Akter, Fazle Rabbi came to her home in Rayerbazar around 11:00 AM while she was cooking. Later, he went out for a walk near the graveyard, where a local youth named Munna allegedly stabbed him and fled the scene.
Inspector Hafizur Rahman said that preliminary investigations suggest there was a previous dispute between Munna and Fazle Rabbi, which may have led to the fatal attack. Tania further stated that Rabbi had been living in the Signboard area of Dhaka with his wife and two children—a son and a daughter. Their ancestral home is in Bhola district.
Police say an investigation is underway, and efforts are being made to apprehend the accused. The incident has sparked concern among locals in the area.
