Incident Details
On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at around 3:30 PM, the Fire Service team recovered Naima’s body from the Ichamati River in Rajghatakool, Rangunia. Naima was the daughter of Muhammad Anwar, a resident of the area.
Naima went missing on Tuesday, July 22, after leaving her home around 5:00 PM. As evening turned to night, her family grew increasingly anxious when she did not return. Despite extensive searches in the surrounding areas and announcements made through the local mosque, no trace of her was found.
Rescue Operation
On Wednesday morning, the family informed the Kaukhali Fire Service in Rangamati. Naima’s parents, relatives, and neighbors waited anxiously by the riverbank, clinging to the hope of finding her alive. In the afternoon, the Fire Service’s diving team conducted a search and recovered Naima’s lifeless body from the depths of the Ichamati River.
