RAB conducted multiple raids in various areas of Chittagong and Feni from Saturday evening (July 20) until Sunday night. In the first operation, at 7:20 PM, they arrested Md. Shahidul Islam, a suspect in a case of violence against women and children, from the Access Road area of Baklia Police Station in Chittagong city.
Later, at 9:20 PM, Rukhsana Parvin Lina (35), a suspect in a rape and abduction case from Joararganj Police Station in Chittagong, was arrested from the Baraiyarhat area. Following her lead, at 10:15 PM, Shahadat Hossain alias Mintu Mamber (73), the second suspect in the same case, was arrested from the Daultpur area of Fatikchhari Police Station in Feni.
RAB reported that the arrested individuals have been handed over to the relevant police stations for further legal proceedings.
