Police have arrested a local Jubo Dal leader in Narsingdi on charges of attacking, vandalizing, and looting a cement factory under construction. The arrested individual, Moniruzzaman Monir, is the president of the Danga Union Jubo Dal. He was apprehended on Saturday night.

On Sunday afternoon, Palash Thana’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Monir Hossain confirmed that.

The assailants allegedly looted mobiles, laptops, and other items, injuring at least seven workers during the incident.

Police, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), and army personnel later arrived at the scene to bring the situation under control. They are taking legal action." The factory authorities have filed a written complaint with the police against Monir and 26 others, he added. When contacted, Nesar Ahmed Khan, convener of Palash Thana Jubo Dal, told that, "I am not aware of the arrest. It would not be appropriate to comment without knowing the details."
