In a press release signed by the Jatiya Party’s Office Secretary Mahmud Alam on Monday (July 7), it was stated that during a meeting with district and metropolitan presidents, general secretaries/convener, and member secretaries on June 25, allegations of breaching party discipline were raised against the three leaders. The meeting also demanded punitive action against them.
The press release further noted that during the party’s presidium meeting on June 28, a unanimous decision was made to remove the three leaders from all party posts due to violations of party discipline.
In light of these developments, Jatiya Party Chairman Golam Mohammad Quader, exercising the authority granted by the party’s constitution, has expelled Barrister Anisul Islam Mahmud, ABM Ruhul Amin Howladar, and Md. Mujibul Haque Chunnu from all party positions, including their primary membership. This order has already been implemented.
