Subhash Chandra Shil was a resident of Sromohol village in Nalchity upazila under Jhalokathi district. However, he had been living at his in-laws’ residence in Bhaila village of Patuakhali Sadar upazila for an extended period.
According to local sources, Subhash fell ill on Monday near Afsar’s Garage by the roadside. Villagers noticed his condition and moved him into the nearby passenger shed, where he remained. On Wednesday morning, locals found him unresponsive and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, police arrived at the scene and recovered the body.
Bauphal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akhtaruzzaman Sarkar stated, “We are in contact with the deceased’s family, and further action will be taken based on discussions with them.”
