Unidentified miscreants set fire to a Bihanga Paribahan bus in Dhaka’s Pallabi area on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 8 PM on Ceramic Road. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Pallabi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiul Alam confirmed the incident to the media, stating that the bus was parked when miscreants set it ablaze and fled the scene. Fire Service units promptly arrived at the location and extinguished the fire.
OC Shafiul further said that CCTV footage from the incident site and surrounding areas is being collected, and the police are investigating the matter with utmost priority.
Shahjahan, an official at the Fire Service control room, stated that the fire was an act of sabotage. Fire Service personnel reached the spot immediately after receiving the information and brought the blaze under control.
