17 Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal Leaders and Activists Sent to Jail in Natore for Snatching Accused from Police Custody

In Natore’s Lalpur, a court has sent 17 leaders and activists of Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal to jail in connection with a case involving the snatching of an accused person from police custody.

On Sunday (July 13), 23 accused individuals surrendered before the Natore Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. After hearing their bail applications, Judge Al Amin granted bail to six of them while rejecting the bail pleas of the remaining 17, ordering their detention in jail.

The matter was confirmed by the Public Prosecutor (PP) Ruhul Amin Talukdar Togar. The defense counsel, Firoz Ahmed, stated that the 23 accused appeared in court on Sunday to seek bail after the expiry of a six-week interim bail granted by the High Court. The court granted bail to Ashraful Alam Lulu, Enamul Haque Kalu, Milan Farazi, Rasel Ali, Mizanur Rahman, and Anarul Islam, while rejecting bail for the other 17, sending them to jail custody.
The detained individuals include Lalpur Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Raihan Kabir Sweet, Joint Convener Kamrul Islam, Gopalpur Poura Jubo Dal Joint Convener Selim Reza Bhuban, along with Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal activists Sumon, Arif, Mehedi, Sajib, Malek, Milton, Tanvir, Liton, Rakib, Bappi, Sohag, Chanchal, Sakibul Alam Sulabh, and Mainul Haque Biplob.
