A young man named Monowar Hossain Togor (27) was brutally hacked to death by unidentified assailants in the Sabujbag area of Khulna’s Sonadanga on Friday night. Togor was a professional paint contractor and the son of local resident Jamal Hawlader.
The incident occurred around 9:15 PM, confirmed Md. Shafiqul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Sonadanga Model Police Station.
According to local witnesses, three men arrived on a motorcycle and entered Togor’s home, where they stabbed and hacked him with sharp weapons. After committing the attack, the assailants quickly fled the scene.
Togor was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital by locals, but doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
As of now, the motive behind the killing remains unknown. Police have launched an investigation into the incident. The murder has left the local community in shock and fear.
