Two women, believed to be beggars, were killed in a hit-and-run accident in the Sahebpara area of Bhangura Municipality, Pabna. The victims, estimated to be around 60 and 35 years old, were struck by an unidentified vehicle.
Local sources reported that the incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, August 18. Upon receiving the news, Bhangura Police Station recovered the bodies from the scene.
According to locals, the bodies were found lying by the roadside in the morning, prompting them to inform the police. It is suspected that a speeding vehicle hit the women during the night, resulting in their immediate deaths.
Bhangura Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shafiqul Islam stated, “The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Pabna General Hospital’s morgue for autopsy. Efforts are underway to identify them.”
