A truck driver named Jamal Molla (32) was killed when his vehicle plunged into a roadside ditch in the Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj.The accident occurred early Thursday (July 24) near the Phukra Bazar area on the Dhaka-Khulna highway.
The deceased, Jamal Molla, was the son of Shahadat Hossain from Kulia village under Mollahat police station in Bagerhat district.
Sub-Inspector Md. Ruman Molla of the Bhatiapara Highway Police Station confirmed the incident.
According to him, the truck was heading towards Khulna from Dhaka carrying empty boxes used for fish transportation. Upon reaching the Phukra Bazar area of Kashiani upazila, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then overturned and fell into a roadside ditch.
Jamal Molla died on the spot. Following legal procedures, his body was handed over to his family.
