In a heartwarming event, Polirani Sarker, wife of Tapan Chandra Sarker from Jamudanga (Sarkarpara) village in Damodarpur, Sadullapur Upazila, Gaibandha, gave birth to triplets, illuminating their home with joy. After a decade of marriage without children, the couple sought treatment from various doctors. Finally, on June 28, Polirani delivered three babies at Rangpur Newborn, Child, and Maternity Hospital. The news of the triplets’ birth has drawn crowds of curious men and women to their home, eager to catch a glimpse of the newborns, with the family hosting visitors with sweets daily.
Tapan Chandra Sarker shared, “After countless prayers to the Creator, we are overjoyed to be blessed with three children at once. However, we have already spent over 7 lakh taka on medical expenses, leaving us nearly destitute. Any government or private assistance would greatly benefit us.”
Manik Chandra Roy, the Upazila Social Welfare Officer, stated, “We will look into the matter and make efforts to provide assistance to the mother and the children.”
