The delegation is in Bangladesh to evaluate potential investments and partnerships in information technology and communication infrastructure. They are expected to meet with government officials and policymakers to discuss these opportunities. Additionally, the team is anticipated to formally announce the start of Starlink’s operations in the country.
Other members of the delegation include Richard Griffiths, SpaceX’s Director of International Strategy and Government Relations. Under Dreyer’s leadership, the team is assessing business prospects, the local implementation of new technologies, and initiatives to deliver internet connectivity to rural and remote areas, viewing Bangladesh as a key market.
The visit by SpaceX and Starlink officials is considered a significant step toward achieving Bangladesh’s digital transformation goals.
The delegation is scheduled to meet with Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus today. They will address the media at a press conference at 5:00 PM at the InterContinental Hotel. Later this evening, they will attend the July Renaissance event at Hatirjheel in Dhaka.
