In a series of operations conducted across the country over a 24-hour period, the police arrested 1,418 individuals, according to a brief statement issued by the Police Headquarters on Friday.
The statement detailed that the operations took place from 12:00 AM Wednesday to 12:00 AM Thursday. Of those arrested, 998 were wanted in connection with warrants and criminal cases, while 420 were apprehended for various other offenses.
During the operations, the police recovered three firearms, four sharp weapons, three magazines, four bullets, and 56 bullet casings, as reported by the Police Headquarters.
