The authorities at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital have issued a directive allowing a maximum of two persons to enter the airport premises to bid farewell to or welcome passengers. This regulation came into effect on Sunday, July 27.

In a press release issued on Sunday morning, the airport authorities announced that, starting today, only up to two individuals accompanying a passenger will be permitted to enter the Departure Driveway and Arrival Canopy areas for send-offs or greetings. The measure aims to ensure smooth passenger movement, control traffic congestion, and enhance security.

The announcement was initially made on the night of July 24 through a statement by the airport authorities.
