BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Advocate Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal has stated that the ongoing conspiracies against BNP must be met with protests, as failure to do so will allow these conspiracies to persist.
Speaking at a protest rally organized by Jiya Parishad in front of the National Press Club on Monday (July 14), Alal made these remarks.
He said, “After August 5, a person was killed at Dhaka University over a mobile theft incident, but it didn’t garner much attention. Similarly, when Chhatra Dal member Samya was killed, a certain group didn’t raise much outcry. Many conspiracies have been hatched against BNP, but they will achieve nothing because the people of this country stand with BNP.”
Alal further noted, “Recent killings are being used to conspire against Tarique Rahman. But Tarique Rahman doesn’t run the country. So why are conspiracies being orchestrated against him and BNP? We must remain united against these plots.”
The rally, chaired by Jiya Parishad’s Vice Chairman M Zahir Ali, was attended by Vice Chairman Obaidul Haque, Joint Secretary General Shahidul Islam, member Abul Bashar, and others.
