Child Dies from Snakebite in Narail

 In a tragic incident, a 10-year-old child named Naim Sheikh died from a snakebite while sleeping next to his mother in Ishangati Purba Para village, Kashipur Union, Lohagara Upazila, Narail, around 11 PM on Friday. Naim, a third-grade student at a local madrasa, was the son of Zakir Sheikh from the same village.

According to family sources, Naim had dinner and went to sleep with his mother. Around 11 PM, he was bitten by a snake while asleep. His mother noticed the incident late at night and informed other family members. He was immediately rushed to Lohagara Upazila Health Complex and later transferred to Narail Sadar Hospital. The duty doctor at the emergency department declared him dead around 1 AM.

Dr. Sharif Mohammad Hasan Ferdous, a doctor at the emergency department of Narail Sadar Hospital, stated, “The child was brought to the hospital around 12:45 AM. Unfortunately, he passed away around 1 AM before treatment could begin.”
