A 53-year-old man named Saheb Ali was killed in a stabbing attack in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj. The incident occurred around 9 PM on Thursday (July 10) in the Paschim Ghoramar village of Basail Union.
Saheb Ali, son of Md. Chabed Ali, was a resident of Ghoramar village. According to police and local residents, Saheb Ali was returning home after offering Isha prayers at the Madinanagar Jame Mosque near his house when assailants stabbed him and fled. Hearing his screams, locals found him in a bloodied state and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries around midnight while undergoing treatment.
Sirajdikhan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Habibur Rahman told Dhaka Post, “The stabbing took place near his home. His sons rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he later died during treatment. After receiving the news, we visited the scene, and locals informed us that Saheb Ali was involved in land-related business. The murder may be linked to a land dispute. The body is currently at the morgue of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, and legal proceedings are underway.”
